Kathy Corey
Kathy Corey began her Pilates journey in 1979 and has since become a globally recognized authority in the method. Known for her deep commitment to the historical roots of Pilates, she worked closely with several Pilates Elders, including Ron Fletcher and Kathy Grant. She has developed educational programs used in over 30 countries and is the creator of the Kathy Corey Legacy Project, which documents and preserves the teachings of first-generation instructors. Kathy has also served as Education Director for major Pilates organizations and is a regular presenter at international conferences. Her approach combines classical principles with innovative, inclusive applications, making Pilates accessible and transformative for all bodies.
Lolita San Miguel
Lolita San Miguel is one of the only two people officially certified by Joseph and Clara Pilates through the State of New York. A classically trained ballet dancer, she studied at the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and later earned her certification in Pilates under the supervision of Dr. Henry Jordan and Joseph Pilates himself. She worked directly with Pilates during the 1960s and went on to become a leading figure in preserving and spreading the authentic method. Lolita developed her own comprehensive teacher training program, the “Lolita’s Legacy,” blending tradition with modern understanding of movement. As a Pilates Elder, her mission has always been to maintain the integrity of the original method while promoting education, research, and excellence in teaching worldwide.
